I was born in Denver Colorado. When people ask me where I grew up, It's hard to answer. I was an Airline Brat. I have lived in 8 states.

I bought my own home in Enfield, Maine ten years ago and I have no plan to move anywhere else. This is home. Five of my children and my only grandchild live in Maine.

I serve on a multitude of committees in my own town and a neighboring town. I proudly serve on SAD31 Schoolboard. When my kids were younger I served on their PTA as Treasurer and many committees. I became politically active in 2016. I served as a state delegate in 2016 and 2020. I previously served as the Enfield Municipal Chair . This Year I helped form and organize the Lincoln Lakes Regional Democratic Committee and I continue to serve as Chair. ( Lincoln, Howland, Enfield)

I am passionate about serving my community and eager for the opportunity to serve in a larger capacity at the State Legislature. I am creative, kind, optimistic, intelligent, bold and fair. I ran in 2020 and lost. I wasn't upset that I lost, only upset that I let down the people in my communities that were counting on me. I decided to do better. I was accepted into Emerge and graduated from their program in 2021. I am ready. Please allow me to represent you and the very unique needs we have in rural Maine.

My name is Natalie DiPentino and I am a resident of Enfield, Maine.

I am a mother to four bright & beautiful children (and two fosters for a total of 6). This will be my first political endeavor (unless serving as PTA treasurer counts or being a state delegate). I am determined and energetic and an excellent advocate. I have been a stay at home mother for the last several years and I started a small cosmetics manufacturing company . ( I put on hold until my daughter graduates HS this year.)

Previously, my education was in business and marketing. My past experience ranges from management to accounting and sales.
I am passionate about the issues concerning our schools, our children and our seniors.
I am eager for the opportunity to represent the fine people of my district. I look forward to listening to their concerns and being their voice.
  • I will listen to your concerns and be your voice at the statehouse.
  • I will vote in concordance with my constituents even if those are not my personal views. My job as representative is to represent you.
  • I will support, and or write, legislation that represents the needs and values of our community and always consider what is in our best interest.
-Education and cultural affairs. *

-Senior issues, their access to services and quality of care.
-Looking for solutions to the drug epidemic in our community.
-Keeping our gun laws exactly as they are.
-Procuring businesses that benefit the community at large. Not just businesses that offer a hand full of jobs while they deplete our resources. RE:some unnamed water company.
-Increasing, or at least retaining, tourism in our area.
-Supporting small businesses.

  • Specifically LD2046.
I look up to Senator, and presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders because his moral fiber is impenetrable.
He has, and continues to, stand up for what is right against all the odds.
He fights tirelessly for the people he represents and includes them in the process.
The desire & willingness to listen to the people... their concerns, their hopes, their fears, their struggles and their dreams.

The desire & willingness to serve them, and in service to them to work hard to address and ease their fears, to put forth the opportunities to fulfill their hopes and dreams... and to advocate in a way that eases their struggles.

An elected official must have integrity, fortitude, energy, passion and drive and the utmost genuine desire to do the bidding of the people they serve, as a whole.
An elected official should always start with persuasion but be ready to fight if that is what is called for.

An elected official should not be swayed by financial gain or power.

Authenticity is always refreshing. ( I have that in spades)
Approach-ability is a necessity as is a sense of humor.
I am authentic, approachable, determined, friendly and fierce.
I work hard and I work smart.
Your first responsibility as an elected official is to listen to your constituents and act accordingly.

Remember that your service to them is an honor and a responsibility.

Show up, be really present ad do your best for them because they can't all be there.
Learn the rules, follow the rules and change the rules that need to be changed.
That is a great question.
I believe all the marks I have made in the world will be in the way I have touched the lives of individuals.
If I make some mark that changes many lives at once, it has yet to be determined.
President Reagan challenges Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev to "Tear down this wall!
My first "job" was as a hostess in the restaurant at the Westpark Hotel in Leesburg VA. I started at age 14 with a work permit. I also worked as a caddy at their gold course and later as a lifeguard at their pool. I kept my job(s) for 2 years until my parents moved.
Prior to that my mother would hire me to erase blueprints for projects she was working on.
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert is one of them.
I like it because the main character is unhappy with the life she is living and goes on a journey to discover herself and change her life & become her most authentic self.
That's an interesting question.
I will need to give it more thought.
The Gambler- Kenny Rogers
(I just found out he died today)
Instead of looking at anything as a struggle I look at it as an opportunity to be creative in my solutions.
Senators represent larger portions of the state and serve longer terms.
Representatives represent smaller areas and serve shorter terms. The house of representatives in Maine, uniquely has sitting/non voting members of first nations so that their concerns are heard and considered.
No. I believe legislators can come from all walks of life.
I believe integrity, intelligence, interest and aptitude along with a genuine desire to serve the public are the most important qualities in a legislator.
At the time of this writing ( 3/21/2020) Covid19 is just hitting Maine.

These are uncertain times for all of us.

The medical institutions and their ability to handle this crisis with an aging community will be put to the test.

At this time, the economic outlook for all of America, including Maine, is looking like it might be our greatest challenge.

Mainers are industrious people and rich with ingenuity. I have faith that we will create solutions to all of the problems we will face, together.

One thing I have learned since becoming a Mainer is that we are all survivors. We work hard and we help each other.

I do believe it is beneficial to build relationships with other legislators, despite party preference.
We are all, cumulatively, representing the people of Maine.
If we can communicate openly and find common ground it is helpful.
If we cannot find common ground we can at least try to be respectful as we reach compromises or fight for our constituents wants, needs and rights. We are all there to do the same job & that is to represent the people of our communities.
Yes. I wish to be on the Education and cultural affairs committee.
I am also interested in serving on the Environment and Natural Resources Committee and the Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business Committee.
I don't think that I should during my first term when I will be learning the ropes.
That said, if leadership is needed and I am asked, I will rise to the task.
I don't know many legislators.
I just want to do the best job I can for the people in my community and my state.
There was a little boy named Chandler in my son's class. He battled a rare form of brain cancer and his mother chronicled his fight with the disease. Chandler touched my life and many others on his journey.

Unfortunately we lost a light.

One thing I did notice was how hard it was for this child to get the treatments he needed. One treatment in particular that could have been lifesaving was a full spectrum antiparacitic medication. Once test studies showed this formerly inexpensive medication killed cancer cells the pharmaceutical companies jacked up the price per pill to the thousands of dollars. The treatment was denied by insurance due to the cost of the pills. This is unacceptable.

I have met so many people and heard so many touching stories ... not as many as I hope to hear.
