The North Dakota Tax Allocation Initiative, also known as Initiative 4, was on the November 2, 1954 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have diverted sales tax collected on sales of personal property for highway use from school and welfare funds to highway construction.[2]
