Ok, I have not been paying much attention to things a closely as may I'm sure have, and I apologize if this is well know, but I have a question:

What continuity does this OVA link to? Is it a prequel to the movies or the Stand Alone Complex TV series, or is it a new series in it's own right?

1) The Manga
2) The films
3) Stand Alone Complex (Tv series)
4) Arise (OVA)

Are there any more?

Maybe the PS1 game? It borrows from the manga, but since it's just a gaiden-ish thing, I doubt anyone considers it part of the canon.

As long as you're counting the "Solid State Society" movie as part of the TV continuity, then yes.
