Cute slice of life of elementary school students. You can watch all episodes out of order just the first and the last one in place for context. The series has a very mature subplot as a coming of age story. They could have broken the story down to progress as they themselves progressed through the years at school. Having these characters develop romantically, just felt awkward (thought that might be a cultural thing).
Overall I enjoyed the story and thought the ending for their relationship was cute. (They tried to leave it wholesome)
It felt like a completed story, not sure if I would want a sequel, with the risk of them ruining it or dragging it on.

Absolutely loved the FL and ML and their English voice actors, I would have been fine even if it ended at ep 5 1/2, but they actually gave us even more episodes. Some of the things were a bit too mature for 11 year old's though, but they did fit the story and situation.
You'd think this would be childish since it's about 5th graders but it was far more mature than cr*p like My Hero Academia.
