Pretty solid romance series. Both characters have their reasoning behind who they are, and both gradually come to terms with it - with each other. Definitely slow-paced with plenty of humorous and endearing moments. Surprisingly though, not frustrating.
This one snuck by me at first, but I'm glad I found it.
If you're looking for an all around good romance series, look no further.

Man, this was such a breath of fresh air, in how it avoids so many of the annoying cliches and stereotypes that usually plague series like this. Apart from being a very nice guy (which is standard for romance anime MC's), Amane isn't a wimp, he doesn't panic around girls, he isn't ugly and is actually quite good looking, and he's anything but stupid. Not at all like the lame protagonists we usually get for these kinds of romance anime. Then there's his best friend Itsuki, who has a girlfriend from the get go, and said girlfriend is actually prominently featured in the show, and she's a pretty normal girl. I can't even remember the last time, if ever, i saw a romance anime aimed at guys that did something like that. There's also lots of cuteness, fluff, and romantic moments, as we don't have to wait until the end of the show for those. The show takes its time, and there is no unnecessary drama. As a fan of romance anime, I loved this. So satisfying.

The fact alone that this is not a harem show, makes this to be one of the more believable romance anime out there. Not realistic, just more realistic than some other shows out there.

Solid 8 from me. Charming, slowly paced and truly romantic. Maybe slightly naive, but hell, why not? It's romance, not drama.

The premise of a girl that excels in everything and an average guy becoming friends that leads to a relationship has been done numerous times, but what sets this show apart is the solid characters and needless drama. This romance series is grounded, slow building and takes it's time with developments... some might think this is slow, but I enjoyed the pace. Overall, this was enjoyable and shows a developing relationship from beginning to the end of this series.

Pro: Unusual interactions & reactions, I find a little odd that school kids speak in therms like more adults university students... Also personages think & do things not in some traditional anime reactions way - it is like some pseudo-realism - personages often react & have reasonings like IRL, or at least they have not broken logic - they just FEEL humanly
Contra: "Quackity" due budget/time restrictions - You can see many oddities on screen, yet good graphics is not main feature here. Just beat with it.
Total: I had weird mixed feeling - from one side this show make Me sleepy from boredom, from other - heartwarming atmosphere & interesting type of SoL make Me look to the final. Between many animated series - such interactions is really unique for this show only.
