To me it's impression how you can summon so much feeling on such a feeble plot. I cried time and time again when the in and out were pretty set in, obvious or even cringe -when they even made sense.
It's not for people who are looking for a strong original plot, but for some people like me, it'll be a tearjerker (with a hug in the end).

It's been seven years since an unusual saucer mysteriously appeared in the sky above Kiriya Lake. With no one knowing what this strange object was or where it came from, concern and panic spread amongst the people. But as time went on this occurrence went from oddity to tourist attraction. Before long, the world lost interest entirely, and the saucer remained nearly forgotten in the sky. Now, former resident Nonoka Komiya returns to the small town after seven years in Tokyo. With only vague memories of her time in the town, the appearance of a spritely girl named Noel causes Nonoka to slowly remember wishes she and four of her friends made in an old observatory.

A heartwarming tale of friendship and wishes. It had a chill slice-of-life feel with a little hint of drama. A good rebound series after watching something EPIC. Its pretty mellow for the most part, but ACTUALLY has a decent plot considering what it's about. Go into it expecting a decent slice-of-life and you WON'T be disappointed! Its pretty sad the ratings are as low as they are.. It really ISN'T that bad! I was VERY surprised to enjoy it as much as I did! Yet another perfect example of "Don't just a book by its cover".

There were a lot of ups and downs in character acting/performance in this anime, but I have yet to find another one with that much sincerity in it.

This is a ABSOLUTE MUST, IF YOU LOVE FAIRY TALES THIS IS IT. A simple anime where everything started with one small wish. This is a great show.

In the vein of Ano Hana but lacks the impact. Interpersonal conflict and drama are vague. Still visually appealing.
