Nintendo continues to dominate hardware and software sales in the US, the NPD Group reported today. Nintendo DS was once again the best-selling hardware with 471K units sold in the month of April. But the real story is that Wii continues to outpace 360 and PlayStation 3, by a long shot. Check out the charts:

Just compare this to last month: Wii sales have gone up, while 360 and PS3 sales are down. And PS3 sales are down big. Remember when last month's sales of 130K were considered to be troubling? That's not a typo, that's really 82,000.
PSP's price drop has certainly helped it, but when you're still getting outsold by way more than two-to-one by the DS, that's little consolation. At least Sony can say that both PS2 and PSP outsold 360. Xbox sales were down this month, too, which doesn't seem that bad until you realize that they launched the Elite this month.
