    At its core, Tekken 7 is the ultimate Tekken experience. While paying tribute to previous games in the series, it’s also made for the hardcore Tekken fan in mind. Newcomers will also love it once you get a feel for the unique fight system. There isn’t much I didn’t enjoy with during my time with Tekken 7, other than it makes me want a new Soul Caliber with the same TLC that went into this game. I highly recommend picking up Tekken 7.

    Tekken 7 is definitely a big guy. A new engine, new characters, new combat techniques and a lot of new game modes and options. It doesn't have the amount of content found in Injustice 2, but the way the familiar combat system makes you feel so powerful is still unmatched.

    Tekken 7 is the first modern fighting game I've played that really seems to maintain the feel of the classics in its entirety. As much fun as the results of the genre's evolution has been, there's always going to be a place in the gaming collective for the classics, and Tekken 7 is fundamentally just that. It's nearly perfect as a core Tekken experience. The only thing that was truly disappointing was the lack of Tekken Ball.

    Tekken 7 is not the best entry in the series and lacks some single-player content, but when it comes to offering gorgeous combat against friends and other people online, here it is: the King is back with outstanding battle mechanics and plenty of characters to learn. If you don't prefer Injustice 2, here you have your new main fighting game of the season.

    Its diverse roster is packed with a wide range of personalities and fighting styles, bolstered by a raucous attitude that begs to be taken seriously while simultaneously mocking its more peculiar whims in the process. Tekken fans will find their next favorite game--one that's the product of decade's worth of refinement. And while some of this depth will be lost or out of reach for newcomers, there's enough fun to be had outside of hardcore competition to keep players from all walks of gaming thoroughly entertained.

    For those hardcore players there’s plenty to enjoy from the deep, rewarding and varied roster of characters, fully featured and seemingly lag-free online modes, as well as the refinements to the core combat that make Tekken 7 the best since Tekken 3.

The complexity and depth of the Tekken series is on full display here, and at 60fps with beautiful visuals it is the best Tekken game, and indeed the best fighting game to date. I would not take stock in the negative professional reviews, which seems to present 3 common critiques, each of which is not persuasive. They are; 1) The game hasn't changed enough in over 20 years and is "outdated." When a perfect formula is arrived at, it doesn't need to be "updated" for the sake of presenting something new. We have seen dozens of fighting games come along since the first Tekken games, all of which brought something "new" to the table. But introducing new elements to games for the sake of bringing consumers something else to buy is a pathway to gimmicks, and that's exactly what tekken's competitors have offered. If you want something new, buy a different fighting game, if you want something good, buy Tekken 7. 2) The game is too hard. This argument can also be read, "the game is too good." Yes Tekken is difficult to learn. That's what makes it great. There is a reason Tekken tournaments are well populated years after the release of a game. Tekken is as close to a quintessential esport as it gets, a game where button mashing will not prevail past the very introductory stages. What Tekken lacks in gimmicky features it makes up for in it's incredible complex movesets. Most of the negative reviewers gave higher scores to much easier games, though I would advise those reviewers not to give Tekken 7 a negative review merely because they did not put in the time it takes to learn its systems. 3) Tekken 7 lacks a good plot. This doesn't even merit response. The plots of fighting games are background filler, nothing more. Saying that you didn't like Tekken 7 because of lack of plot is like saying you didn't enjoy the super bowl because it lacked plot. It's a sport. There isn't supposed to be a plot.

The story mode is really good as well. One complaint is that the story mode was too short for my liking, especially since we have waited for such a long time. The customisation mode is really good except sometimes i feel like I want more. The online at the moment is beyond terrible as I have been searching for a game for hours and couldn't even get one. But the pros really get the better out of the cons which is why I'd give this game an 87/100… Expand

    Really disappointed that they chose the Capcom route and sold the game full price with little content. Where's Time Attack, Survival and Team Battles?? I know where. In the next 1 or 2 DLCs with the other much loved fighters like Lei, Anna and Marduk.

    Arcade mode is pointless as all the fighters are unlocked. To get their movie, you fight one single battle and its not even a CGI cutscene.

    No unlockable mini games. I was looking forward to a revamped Tekken Ball Mode ala Tekken 3. Once you completed the story, there's nothing much to do. They have a Treasure Mode which is like Ghost modes from Tekken 5, 6 and TTT2.

    Newcomers will love this. Loyal fans like myself will be disappointed. Not even soundtracks and ending movies from previous titles interest me.

    Only chance longevity at this point is Online and already the Ranking mode is already broken. I get 1 fight connected out of 10. Tournament mode is the only fun part, that's if you get a group from the same region and little ping.

    Rage Art is a joke, gives the losing person a chance by doing a move that'll take half your life away. I wasn't a big fan of the Rage system altogether to be honest.

    Tekkens 3, 5 and TTT2 imo are still the best of the series. Newcomers will enjoy this, but unless they release something like a Scenario Mode where you can grind gear and stats for your fighters like T6. This game's longevity won't go for very long, compared to other fighters like Injustice 2.

    I'm not going to be like other raging fan boys and give it a 0, but I'll give it a 7, putting my perspective to a new comer.
