Dissidia Final Fantasy Sequel and 3DS Top the Charts

PSP sequel sells fewer units than predecessor. 3DS nears 600,000.

Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy topped the Media Create sales charts in its first week with 286,000 units sold. In hardware, 3DS sold another 210,000 units this week.

Although it managed first place, Dissidia performed far below its predecessor. The original sold close to 500,000 units in its first week in December 2008.

Other newcomers this week included Way of the Samurai 4, Digimon Story and Star Driver. Way of the Samurai 3 sold a similar amount back in November 2008, with 81,000 units first week.

3DS software maintain the same relative sales positions from last week. Layton was still the top title, followed by Nintendogs + Cats, Samurai Warriors, Street Fighter IV, Ridge Racer and Winning Eleven.
