Rock star Alice Cooper has been presented with the key to a US town that shares his name.
About 1,000 people descended on the town of Alice, North Dakota - which has a population of just 60 - for the arrival of the 58-year-old performer.
Mayor Dan Lund said Alice had not seen such excitement since its centennial celebration in 2000.
Cooper made the visit a day before he is due to perform at Fargo Civic Center, about 50 miles away.

There's not a whole lot of buildings to unlock with that key

The star, whose hits include School's Out and No More Mr Nice Guy, was presented with a marble plaque and a gold-plated key in Sunday's ceremony.
Mr Lund said: "There's not a whole lot of buildings to unlock with that key, but Alice is a cool guy and Alice is a cool city - so it's a fun thing to do."
But he added that he preferred country music, saying: "He rocked a little too hard for me. I wasn't quite angry enough to be into his music."
The town is one of several in south-east North Dakota named after the daughters of a railway surveyor.
