GENOCIDE AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY are recognized gross violations of human rights. This new module looks at modern cases in Myanmar, Bosnia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Darfur region of Sudan.

FOUNDATION and GENOCIDE AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY are the first two of a projected series of modules on international human rights. Whether you’re a teacher or a student, you can use this material in basic courses in government, civics, history, or other social sciences.


This site is intended as a high school and post-secondary resource on human rights. Students may use the content, images, or web links for research projects. Teachers may pull out a unit, just a page at a time, or a lesson plan to fit in with their current courses.
