Arctic Monkeys to release live DVD

Concert film will get cinema run before its release

Arctic Monkeys are set to release a live DVD, 'Arctic Monkeys At The Apollo', on November 3.

The DVD was filmed at the Sheffield band's gig at the Manchester Apollo on December 17 last year, the last date of their world tour.

It is directed by 'The Mighty Boosh' and 'The IT Crowd' actor Richard Ayoade, who has also directed music videos for Vampire Weekend.

The film will be screened in various Vue and independent cinemas across the UK on October 14 - see Arcticmonkeys.com for cinema listings and ticket details.

A good set list to be out on DVD, but not sure about playing in the cinema first, whats the point ?

Prince put Sign O The Times is cinema first and have to say it was awesome.. true, this will mean nothing to you young whipper-snappers, but seeing artists on big screen is mint

I have to say i'm not into Arctic Monkeys as much as i used to, but there is no denying they will go down as one of the most important bands of our generation!

This sounds excellent. The Arctic Monkeys are the band of my era and I'm proud to say it too.
