Muse have won the Best Live Band award supported by Carling at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008.

The trio accepted their award from Kelly Osbourne.

They said: “Thanks to the Carling drinkers who sponsored the award. And thanks to anyone who came to Wembley (Stadium, where the band played two shows in June 2007). It was the best night of our lives.”

The other nominees for the Best Live Band award were The Cribs, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and My Chemical Romance.

Well deserved, as usual :) I'm happy for my favouritest band ever, and anyone who saw them at Wembley has to agree with this award. If you didn't see them live at Wembley, get the live DVD which is out next month - The HAARP Tour.

They have so many Best Live Acts now though. I think the current total stands at 9 including this?

Indeed, best live band is deserved every year they put on any concert at all because it is guaranteed to blow away any competing performance!

Wembley was a rocking night and I look forward to a similar experience at the Albert Hall in April! It is gonna be amazing, the MUSE starved Brits in attendance will be screaming the 137 year old roof down!
