I read The Far Pavilions (TFP) by MM Kaye and became obsessed with it. It struck me as few books have, and is one of the few I immediately re-read after finishing. I hope that this site will inspire all to read this treasure.

I have compiled information here form various resources out of the sheer joy of reading the book, not because I needed it for a report. What I do NOT want to happen, is for people needing a book report/summary to stumble across this page and copy/paste it into their report. PLEASE do not do that for this book. THIS BOOK IS WORTH THE READ! Trust me on this! Proceed immediately to buy it for yourself! I guarantee you will love it.

For those in the process of reading the book, or who have not yet read it, i encourage you to peruse this site as you read, to assist with the Indian words and give you a background on the culture, geography, and politics of the time. I have purposely tried to keep a lot of "spoilers" off of this website so that you will continue to be thrilled by each chapter.
