• Ben's Guide to U.S. Government an overview of the U.S. government, legislative process, duties of citizens, and other topics. Arranged by grade level, with sections for teachers and parents. Includes facts about states and links to state websites.
• Department of Education Web Server which features many online publications from the department and its National Center for Education Statistics. Highlights of their online publication program include:
• Compendia, such as the Education Statistics at a Glance
• Publications for Parents (many available in Spanish language editions). No Child Left Behind: A Parent's Guide is a recent addition.

• Violence and Discipline Problems in U.S. Public Schools, 1996-1997 "The school violence survey was conducted with a nationally representative sample of 1,234 regular public elementary, middle, and secondary schools in the 50 states and the District of Columbia in the spring and summer of 1997." • The Educator's Reference Desk and Gateway to Education Materials (GEM) provide access to the ERIC bibliographic database, ERIC digests of educational research, ERIC bibliographies, conference schedules, lesson plans, and other information.
• Educational Attainment Statistics from U.S. Census Bureau.
• Earnings by Occupation and Education Earnings by Occupation and Education provides data for the United States, all States, and the District of Columbia for all persons 21 years and over in the experienced civilian labor force who worked with earnings in 1999. Data can be accessed by sex, occuption, and education.
• ERIC bibliographic database, which has digests of educational research, bibliographies, and other educational materials.
• Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) This database provides access to institution-level data on fall enrollment, completions, salaries and benefits, and finance for post-secondary institutions. The enrollment data is available by race and ethnicity. The College Opportunies On Line (COOL) segment of the database allows you to search for college information by location, program, or degree offerings either alone or in combination. Results include data on enrollment, costs, degrees awarded, and financial aid.
• National Institute for Literacy includes information about adult literacy, importance of literacy, and the State of Literacy in America. This publication features a database which includes estimates adults at level 1 literacy (the lowest level of literacy) at the national, state, city and county level.
• National Public School Locator find basic data on enrollment, race and ethnicity, number of teachers, teacher/pupil ratio, and the number of students eligible for a free lunch.
• School District Data from the Census Bureau Searchable by State and School District.
• School Enrollment Statistics from U.S. Census Bureau.

• OECD Education and Skills links to various OECD publications on Education.
• Education at a Glance OECD Indicators - 2004 Edition CU this document "provides a rich, comparable and up-to-date array of indicators on the performance of education systems that represent the consensus of professional thinking on how to measure the current state of education internationally." You can also examine the data used to create this publication.
• Country and Thematic Policy Reviews in Education
• Education Database provides internationally comparable data on key aspects of education systems.
• Education for All (EFA) Country Reports are summary reports by country on progress in meeting goals for universal education. Reports are available in the language of submission (English, French, Spanish, and Arabic). Access by world region or country.
• UNESCO Education this is the main page linking to various UN and UNESCO documents relating to education.

• Buros Institute's Test Reviews Online The test reviews includes citations to information published in Mental Measurements Yearbooks, Tests in Print, and Test Critiques. User must consult the print volumes.
• ETS Test Collection offers access 20,000 tests and other measurement devices. Test descriptions include an author, title, abstract, document identifier, and descriptors.
• McREL (Mid-continent Regional Education Laboratory) provides federally-funded services to a seven state region including Colorado. Includes extensive links to Internet-accessible education resources.
• Minority On-Line Information Service includes information about scholarships and grants.
