Unknown is as original and inspiring as its title. A completely standard thriller without a single new idea. Fortunately, the film no longer pretends to be and it must be said that it is all very well made and despite the clichés it continues to fascinate. That is sometimes different. Liam Neeson is a good enough actor to make the film maintain a certain credibility. Still, a slightly more light-hearted approach would have worked better. Hitchcock always knew how ridiculous these kinds of storylines were and went a little more playful with them, which is something I like more. Only Bruno Ganz brings some special color to the film and he is the best here. Some things are too stupid for words (trying to kill Neeson in the hospital in a cumbersome way, then killing two doctors and then just continuing to kill Neeson laboriously?), the revelation that Neeson was a hit man made me sigh and January Jones is a ridiculously bad actress, but none the less this is fine entertainment in itself if you don't have high standards.

I hadn't seen this one by Neeson yet..... Great film, exciting and a real nail biter. Strong acting. 4 stars.

Unknown is a fine genre film, nothing wrong with it at all. Well entertained. Interesting plot and good acting. I was able to have fun with it. Liam is always a star in these kinds of films.
