Mardi Gras plot
Paul Newell is a cadet at the Virginia Military Institute. When the academy's music ensemble is invited to participate in the New Orleans Carnival, Paul and his fellow students are thrilled, especially as noted French film star Michelle Marton will also be making a guest appearance. Michelle is joined in New Orleans by her publicity agent Al Curtis and his assistant Eadie West. She is more than tired of her busy schedule and demands a day off on the day of the carnival. Eadie therefore decides to disguise herself as the French movie star and act in her place in the parade. This leads to some difficult situations.
