Bride of the Regiment plot
As they leave the church after their wedding, the Italian Count Adrian Beltrami and Countess Anna-Marie are told that the Austrians are marching into town to quell an uprising by the Italians. Because of Anna-Marie and his relatives, Adrian flees to his castle. But the artist Tangy brings a message from the revolutionary commission. The committee asks Adrian to return. Adrian also goes back but asks Tangy to pose as him to protect Anna-Marie. However, Colonel Vultow, the leader of the Austrians, is determined to seduce Anna-Marie and discovers the true identity of 'Adrian'…
