Nice video. The story begins where Frankenstein (1931) ends and is theatrically introduced by Mary Shelley and two of her companions. Not the real writer as it turned out, because she had been dead for almost a century. This sequel feels a lot lighter than its predecessor. There are more memorable scenes, usually with a comical undertone, whether or not intended. For example, the mini-humans were laughable, as was the fact that the monster can now suddenly talk. At times it feels like they're making fun of the whole story and for a moment I expected the monster to climb the Empire State Building when he kidnapped the woman. This continuation also contains many nods to its predecessor, with the iconic resurrection in the castle as the highlight. However, the title itself is clickbait, as the bride only appears five minutes before the end and may have a total screen time of 2 to 3 minutes. Her appearance and especially her hairstyle is admittedly an image that you will not soon forget. In any case, it can be called entertaining and the short playing time turned out to be more than sufficient.

I used to see fragments of older horror films from the 1930s and later in my youth, but I never watched the classics from that time again afterwards and therefore have no rating with me for the time being. This film has already surprised me in terms of effect because some scenes I expected in the Frankenstein film. So I have yet to see it. The story managed to fascinate me because of the good structure with attention to the characters, especially Frankenstein himself. I also expected something different given the title because in the end the bride only appears in the slot.
The opening scene also deserves attention. Beautifully presented by Elsa Lanchester (Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley) who tells the story and at the same time also a beautiful tribute to the author. Boris Karloff gives the monster a warm heart despite his appearance. This is especially apparent in the beautiful scene with the blind man.
Maybe it's all a bit outdated, but you should also try to empathize with the story and the time the film was made. Very good in terms of atmosphere. The film also has some lighthearted moments that I could appreciate. Successful horror film from the old box! 7/10 alexspyforever and especially (I thought) Hollywood007 will appreciate this.

Good film in which Dr Frankenstein is approached to perform his experiment again. From a technical point of view a great sequel, only it is a pity that Frankenstein can now talk (this makes him less mystical). However, this sequel is a lot more entertaining and the whole is a bit more fluid. Beautiful sets, beautiful music and the bride knows how to impress (even if she is only seen for a moment).
