Film with huge clichés, enormous predictability and mediocre acting. Not much in return except for some nice kills and some nice shots in the woods. Other than that, this means nothing.

Take a break. That hit it hard. Rarely have I been so tense and that means, cliché or not - oh how often that word is used - that the film is very successful for me. Beautiful lady also Mari, it makes me feel good that she survived . Nice ending by the way with that microwave. And rightly so. Well, I like these kind of revenge movies. By the way, I'm curious about the original from 1972. I doubt whether that will be better than this re-make.

Never seen the original, which again seems to be based on a Bergman film. I expected something different from the title, more spooky. Anyway, it is a revenge film, which unfortunately is not too strong. The plot is all quite improbable, that the perpetrators end up with the parents for example, and that they do not primarily want to take their daughter to the hospital, but first want to take out the perpetrators. Other than that it feels a bit tame ; I've seen revenge a lot more brutal in other movies.
And furthermore I run into the same Breaking Bad problem with Aaron Paul in this film that I encountered with I'm Thinking of Ending Things with Jesse Plemons: I have too strong associations with their Breaking Bad characters. In Paul's case, this is a bit worse because his character here, especially in speaking terms, is more like his Breaking Bad character.
In short, this movie is not for me. 1*.
