Madame Curie plot
"MR. and MRS. MINIVER together again"
At the end of the 20th century in Paris, poor Polish student Marie (Greer Garson) gets a chance to study magnetism with the kind professor Jean Perot (Albert Basserman). Perot also allows shy scientist Pierre Curie (Walter Pidgeon) to share the lab with Marie. When they work together, Pierre and Marie fall in love. Pierre mustered the courage to ask for her hand and she accepted. On their honeymoon, they decide to discover what caused the strange result that Professor Becquerel discovered with uranium/thorium stones.
