After a strong start, he collapsed for me because of that vami story. From a strong thriller to a lot of nonsense.

Very nice.

I haven't seen the original yet. But since it will be on NPO 3 next Friday after Koolhoven's course, I will definitely watch it. This remake didn't come until a year later, which was quite unnecessary, but I certainly didn't mind.

The acting of McPhee and Moretz is very strong. Surprisingly for the two kids, later on I would still think they were good acting. Moretz in particular has become very handsome and very good. Visually, the film is also nicely done, the snowy landscapes for example.

Some scenes are also well shot. The movie is pretty well made. I certainly enjoyed. Time to watch the original, because it gets even better reviews and reviews.

After discovering the Swedish original a year and a half ago, which I really liked, I was curious about this Q American remake. And although Let Me In has to acknowledge its superiority in all areas, sometimes minimally, in its Scandinavian predecessor, Let Me In can still be called a more than fine film.

The recipe is known and it is practically not deviated from except for a single construction thing such as the opening. We also get less depth about Owen regarding his domestic situation and status at school. The neighbors are also less in-depth as in the Swedish version, and instead of a curious neighbor it is the police who are investigating. It doesn't really matter that much because in this version it is the atmosphere in the snowy and dark environment in combination with the music that is not really inferior to the Swedish version. Strong about this version are the pseudo horror moments around Abby who gets an unpleasant mouth when she drinks blood. There are also some nice things there, such as the accelerated walk and the way she climbs trees that are nicely made.

A lack are the scenes with the cats that Reeves did not include in his version. Scenes that I find very strong in Swedish. Then there is the phenomenon that is called Swedish cinema and can also be found in the Swedish version, which is that it is special and weird in its own way. Something that Let Me In obviously does not know how to approach.

But as said, Let Me In has a more than fine atmosphere with an excellent Grace Moretz and the music is also very strong. Nothing wrong with that.
