"This is my story"

Hallam Foe is a sensitive and old-fashioned teenager who has voyeuristic tendencies. Especially towards his stepmother whom he has a crush on. Fairly light-hearted coming-of-age drama with a separate story about a boy with an Oedipus complex. There are a few surprising twists and turns and the acting of Bell, Myles and Forlani is also well taken care of. Not top notch, but quite nice.

Voyeuristic tendencies? Bwahaha, the main character does almost nothing but peep. Hallam Foe is a pretty strange movie. You have no idea what to do with the protagonist, although he does end up in interesting situations. The sex scene with his mother-in-law was pretty bizarre and after that the plot goes completely off the rails. In any case, the situations in the hotel are quite funny. Maurice Roëves puts down a fantastic Raymond. Best part of the movie. How I laughed at that guy. But I still don't know what to do with Jamie Bell who peeks through windows and sees his mother in his new flame. Still, the story gets better and better towards the denouement and we see more and more of Hallam's true nature. Then it turned out to be a nice film with some special scenes.

A creative cabinet of curiosities that is a bit difficult to get going at first. After the main character leaves for Edinburgh, however, a most charming film unfolds, which can best be described as a rom-com, but with strong humor and without annoying sweets. Jamie Bell plays a very sympathetic role, the script is very original and it is also quite strong on the audiovisual level. I would like to make films like this more often.
