Große Mädchen Weinen Nicht plot
The Große Mädchen from the title are Kati and Steffi, seventeen years old and two typical Berlin Mädels who have been best friends since childhood. Kati seems the unhappier of the two. Her ultra-conservative and strict Catholic mother Ingrid keeps her in line, while Steffi is given more freedom from her much more modern parents. However, Steffi's happiness is shattered when she sees her father Hans cheating with another woman one evening. From then on, instead of taking revenge on her father or the adulterous woman, Steffi focuses on bullying his daughter Tessa, a girl who wants to be in Carlos' music group, who in turn is Steffi's boyfriend.
