A Place for Annie plot
Susan Lansing is the prototype of a 'strong woman'. As a single mother, she cares for a smooth but sometimes stubborn sixteen-year-old son. She also has a job as a nurse in the pediatric ward of the local hospital. She may be a little too worrisome in both roles, but her heart is in the right place and she's widely appreciated. Not least because she is willing to adopt a baby infected with AIDS.
