Terror plot
Fighter pilot Lars Koch (Florian David Fitz) finds herself in a major event: terrorists race a passenger plane towards a football stadium with 70,000 spectators. After futile attempts to deflect the plane from the route, Koch shoots his weapon empty. 164 passengers are killed, but he saves a multitude of human lives. He has to answer for this act before the Berlin court. While his lawyer emphasizes that Koch is not to blame, the public prosecutor (Martina Gedeck) appears not to be convinced: Koch should not have been allowed to decide on human lives with his own hands. The judge (Burghart Klaußner) finds himself in a diabolical dilemma. Does the end justify the means here? Is Koch a hero or a murderer? The decision is up to the jury.
