"Where it reads 'home' read 'hell'. Where it reads 'love' there is pain"
One winter night, Pilar flees the house with her son Juan. She doesn't take much with her, she hardly has time for that. Her husband Antonio is soon on her trail. Pilar is the light in his life, he believes, and what he does not want to miss are her eyes, because she once 'gave' them to him. Antonio wants her back, at any cost. Pilar is on her way to her sister Ana, who receives her lovingly. When Ana goes to Pilar and Antonio's apartment to get clothes, she suddenly finds herself face to face with Antonio. Ana now knows that Antonio can't keep his hands to himself very well, but manages to return to Pilar unscathed. Antonio does everything he can to win his wife back. He visits her at her new workplace in the museum, sends her flowers and makes a promise that he will change his life. He even went to therapy for that. But the wounds are deep and Pilar is torn between hatred and love for her husband.
