Taiyô no Uta plot
"A girl hated by the sun... A miracle given by the night."
Kauro is a 16 year old girl with a serious illness. She has Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) which means that contact with sunlight can kill her. She can never go outside during the day and therefore misses all the daily things such as going to school and interacting with boys. To pass the time, she likes to play the guitar and keeps an eye on a boy who meets up with friends every day at the bus stop opposite her house. Once the sun has completely set, Kauro can finally go outside where she plays her own songs in the street. When she sees the boy from the bus stop one evening, she does not hesitate for a moment and runs towards him.
