Nice film about a married man who decides to take dance lessons without telling his family. The course of this romantic film is not easy to predict. Nice characters filled in by a nice cast. A few nice dance scenes and funny moments make it easy to look away.

“I mean, a straight man who likes to dance around in sequins walks a very lonely road, I got news for you.”

Sympathetic film with nice actors and lots of ballroom dancing. Gere, Lopez, Sarandon, Jenkins and a funny role by Tucci, in terms of actors it is good. The story is a bit predictable, but I'm glad it doesn't get too dramatic. Fortunately the relationship between Lopez and Gere remains amicable. For the rest, Shall We Dance is a real feel good film, and that is sometimes nice.

The best moments in this fun yet predictable romantic comedy come from the supporting actors, especially Stanley Tucci as the salsa dancer and Anita Gillette as the dance school principal.

This tragicomedy tells the story of a man, John Clark (Richard Gere), in a midlife crisis, who for once loses himself not in an affair with his much younger secretary, but in a ballroom dancing course. Not so strange, when you know that those classes are taught by Paulina (Jennifer Lopez). John's wife, Beverly Clark (Susan Sarandon), soon suspects her husband of having an affair.

The movie could easily turn into predictability, but it doesn't. The strength is mainly in the play of Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon
