Ordeal in the Arctic plot
"A Routine Flight... A Deadly Crash...A Desperate Fight To Survive."
A Hercules plane prepares to transport soldiers, doctors and other casual workers to Alert, the northernmost military base in the world. Pilot John has made the flight countless times and expects no problems this time either. Hairdresser Sue and doctor Wilma will only be staying in Alert for a week, while the rest of the group faces a long, barren period of six months. The flight is normal. When the airport comes into view, the crew prepares for an easy, albeit smooth, landing. Suddenly all hell breaks loose. The plane hits the icy ground before lowering the landing gear. A huge crash and a terrible explosion follow.
