Fascinating, very compelling drama about the consequences of the recent economic crisis for ordinary citizens. Andrew Garfield is perfectly cast as an unemployed handyman who is evicted from his home by cunning real estate agent Michael Shannon, after which he is forced to work for him. The urgent, panicked atmosphere surrounding the events is well captured and the entire cast does an impressive job. Especially the sometimes somewhat underrated Shannon is once again great.

Very strong drama with a great Shannon. Although you can see the plot coming from miles away, it is still an impressive film. What the film is about has already been described in detail below, so I won't repeat that. Go see that!

Film that takes place in the world of the housing trade and that focuses on the harsh reality of earning money from debts of ordinary people. The film shows in an exciting way how things work. Interesting matter.

The lead role enthusiastically participates in the digging and ends up in a vicious circle from bad to worse. The boundaries that indicate how compassionate his conscience is, are constantly stretched throughout the film. The fascination and tension mainly come from this personal battle.

The final snap is less exciting and just marks the end of the fight. The moment is also predictable and is probably meant to shed a tear. I thought the cracking scene was unlikely and a bit over the top. Not exactly in the spirit of the rest of the movie.

The deliberation is not well reflected in Garfield's acting. In addition, from the first minute he has a too sweet and soft appearance to be credible as a character that is about corpses. He's not really convincing.

Shannon has a tougher face and is convincing as a cold badguy. Good role.
