Aghet - Ein Völkermord plot
"Aghet" (catastrophe) looks at the genocide of the Armenians. Between 1915 and 1918, during the First World War, approximately one and a half million Armenians were killed in the Ottoman Empire (on the territory of present-day Turkey). They were murdered, or died during their expulsion to Syria. The genocide is still a hot topic between Turkey and Armenia and to this day is supplanted and officially combated by the Turkish state. Director and journalist Eric Friedler reconstructs the Armenian genocide in his TV docu film and had well-known German actors record the voices of the victims.
