Team Foxcatcher plot
"An Olympic hero. A delusional benefactor. At the intersection of ambition and paranoia lies tragedy."
Team Foxcatcher was founded in the 1990s by John E. du Pont, a wealthy man from Pennsylvania. He was heir to Du Pont's family fortune and mad about wrestling. He wasn't a great sport himself, but the game fascinated him. With all his money, he therefore decided to invite Mark Schultz to train for the Olympic Games on his estate. Mark was a gifted wrestler, but his brother Dave was even better. And that bothered Mark. He therefore decided to accept John E. du Pont's offer in order to develop further. It started as an opportunity, but ended in drama. Dave Schultz was murdered on the farm of Du Pont, by John E. du Pont. The documentary looks back at Dave's murder. What happened at the Foxcatcher farm? The story is told through never-before-seen images.
