The film tells the story of the golden age of Formula 1, when the sport became terrifyingly dangerous and the drivers were big stars with raw talent. However, many of them paid the ultimate price. Racing in a Formula 1 car was never for the faint of heart, but in the late 1960s the engines kept getting bigger and the cars were fitted with big wings, making them incredibly fast and dangerous. Using rare archival footage and interviews, the film chronicles the spectacular birth of the greatest show on Earth: Formula 1.
