Nick Wild (Jason Statham), whose gambling addiction has led him to the streets of Las Vegas, decides to take on odd jobs to ensure "safety" to support his addiction. His life takes a different turn when a girlfriend is brutally beaten and he is forced to take on the mafia.

This one was set up partly because I saw that Sofia Vergara was on the cast list and on MM even in the first three. I came out of the movie disappointed.
I don't like Simon West three times anyway. He proves that once again with this mediocre Statham (Christmas) film without too much action. The action scenes in it are still doable. The story didn't captivate me at all. The characters were uninteresting as well as the dialogues. The first ten minutes of the film were promising. After that it went downhill and it's not just because of Sofia's absence.

Haha Jason makes every movie fun. What a guy, unbelievable. His looks, his voice, his accent. It's just enjoying every movie again. Even though the story sucks, he seriously makes every movie fun. If there had been another actor in this role, I would have said: what a shitty movie. Because the movie itself sucked. But yes, put Jason in it and you'll have plenty of it. The action scenes are awesome too

Average action movie, but you get what you expect with Jason Statham in a role that's just right for him. Good guy, bad guy and some knockouts with the necessary one-liners in between. Nothing special, but if you like the genre this is quite enjoyable. Director Simon West does make more of these kinds of films and does it well.
