An armed member Jack McElhinney (Terence Cooper) of the Protestant faction in Northern Ireland on duty discovers that the terrorist problem is not in the controversy Protestants against Catholics, but much more to do with greed and crime. Out of disgust, he goes on with the result that 23 former colleagues end up behind bars. He gets the opportunity to travel to New Zealand with his wife Claire (Frances Barber) and son Billy (Martin Maguire) and start a new life there. Eight years later, when they succeed, including a dazzling mistress Hanah (Judy McIntosh), they come for revenge.
