Hello Goodbye plot

Gisèle and Alain have been happily married for decades and have a good life together. Their retirement looks good, a nice apartment in Paris and financial security. Until Gisèle decides that she is not satisfied with this sluggish life and turns their lives upside down by looking for her Jewish roots... That means moving to Israel for good. A completely different country, with a different culture and above all a very different lifestyle than they are used to now. The Promised Land is not as idyllic as they had hoped.
