'' Your brain is full of lollipops, rainbows, and cheese. ''

This is another movie where the supporting roles are more fun than the lead roles. Jonah Hill and Russell Brand were the reason I actually wanted to drop the film. I find it terribly annoying guys who get on my nerves. Hill doesn't radiate anything, except for the fact that he's a round barrel with no neck. Brand is over the top and tries to be fun, but he doesn't always succeed. As far as I'm concerned, the compliments should go to Sean Combs. Not the greatest actor either, but somehow this man manages to bring a smile to your face, unlike Hill and Brand's forced acting. Chemistry between these gentlemen is also hard to find.

Nice to see 'Draco Malfoy' again. The film must have these rare moments. Maybe I'm just not the type for these kinds of movies, which are always heavily exaggerated, especially what facial expressions and mimicry. A bit too expressive for my taste. Underpants fun, rancidity and some puke and shit.. No thanks. Not to be repeated.

“This is it, Aaron. This is rock n' roll. Did you enjoy the party?"

Crazy movie. Hill and Brand are good, but they can't hide the fact that it's all very small. That's not a bad thing, as long as the humor is good and the actors have chemistry. The latter is fine, but the humor is a bit hit and miss.

And it is a pity that there always has to be a moral in it. Especially with a madman like Brand you could have chosen something else. The music is good and there are quite a few catchy songs. All in all, a film that is disappointing when it comes to successful jokes, but is quite fun to watch once.

Stoller's sequel.

You wouldn't think so, but this film apparently takes place in the same universe as Forgetting Sarah Marshall. That is more of a promotional stunt than really clever writing, because it is only the characters that sometimes recognize each other. Furthermore, this is a fairly proprietary product.

That doesn't take away from the fact that the film itself is still okay. Normally these kinds of American comedies are not my thing, and this one also has some dubious moments, but it still runs pretty well. This is mainly due to the fact that Brand fits very well in the film. Maybe he finds it too difficult to play drama properly because it's mainly a joke, but he does it extremely charmingly.

Visually nice and there is a nice tempo. Hill is hit and miss in the lead role. Not because he acts badly, but because he can't always deliver all the jokes. He is not always guilty of this himself, because it is mainly the script that continues to provide his character with the easiest jokes. As expected, they are therefore not delivered too well.

Because there is little progress to be found, I would have originally given the film a half lower, but Stoller picks up well in the final phase by hanging a human nameplate on it. Get Him to the Greek is therefore a bit deeper and more recognizable than the average comedy, but it is also just decent entertainment. It's just not particularly funny, but I take that for granted.
