Tony West moves to California to pursue a career. He goes dancing in the theater with Gloria Vance. He becomes a star, plays in many movies and marries Gloria. Everything is going well, until the attack on Pearl Harbor, which causes America to get involved in World War II. Tony enlists in the military, but is rejected. He dares not say this to his wife. In order to still be able to serve his country, he will organize army shows. However, this work takes a lot of time, leaving Tony little time for his private life...
