Mediocre film about a teenage girl who wakes up in a man's body because of an old myth. Not the most original of course, but this body-swap movie does have a few entertaining moments. The film could easily have been shorter and unfortunately the focus is on the male character (especially since Rob Schneider clearly loses out to Rachel McAdams as an actor).

The Hot Chick is a typical film that mainly serves as a kind of guilty pleasure. It's the faintness itself. The humor is as rude as a cow and the intelligence of the film ensures that you spontaneously suffer from burning of the brain cell. And yet it manages to work excellently as a weekday entertainment.
These kinds of movies often come up out of nowhere and then turn out to be actually fun. Schneider is therefore given complete freedom and space to make a caricature of his character. It's not exactly difficult when you're offered a role like this, but then bringing it to a successful conclusion is also a job. A job that is easily done by Schneider.
The supporting roles don't really catch on, especially the comic sequences in between are remarkably light-hearted. Because it's pushed through so hard, it actually still manages to work, so I regularly got through the film with a loud laugh. Perhaps this says something about my own humor, but these kinds of films are absolutely not boring to see.
