"In the heart of suburbia, a hit man with heart has just moved in."
Dentist Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky struggles to survive and his marriage is in the doldrums. One day he gets a new neighbor. When he wants to meet the man, Nicholas discovers that he is none other than Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski, a notorious professional killer. At the behest of his wife, he goes to Chicago to inform a mob boss about this and hopefully collect a bounty for it.

Surprisingly fun crime/comedy with nice roles by Matthew Perry and especially Bruce Willis. The role of Amanda Peet was also funny, especially the scene when she took off her clothes. The story is quite nice and the situations are extremely comical.

I became extremely curious about this film when I saw Bruce Willis' guest role in Friends. Anyway, I'd never seen Matthew Perry play a role other than Chandler Bing before, so I was curious how he would do here. The story sounded nice and it had been a long time since I had seen a comedy (film) that made me laugh sincerely.
The Whole Nine Yards lived up to expectations. Of course it's all pretty far-fetched, but a crime comedy like this can be a bit absurd in my opinion. Willis is fun in his role as a hit man. Perry plays Chandler, but to be honest, that's what I kind of hoped for. In any case, his bumbling made for some very funny scenes. Also the supporting roles of Amanda Peet, Natasha Henstridge and Michael Clarke Duncan are nice. It is only Rosanna Arquette who at times manages to arouse irritation in her exaggerated role. Fortunately, her part in the film is fairly small.
The film never gets bored, looks away easily and contains a lot of amusing situations and one-liners. We have seen the concept of a criminal who is, in a sense, forced to cooperate with an everyday citizen who knows nothing about it. Despite this, The Whole Nine Yards stands out enough in my opinion to label it as original.
