All in all a successful and charming comedy, with a little bitter, but suppressed, undertone related to amnesia, with only a few silly jokes but with a lot of sympathetic moments, even with some emotion.

Great acting performance from Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore

“Can I have one last first kiss?”

Nice movie. I like Sandler in these kinds of roles, and Drew Barrymore is always strong in these kinds of movies. Sandler has a few moments when he's being shitty funny (along with the hilarious Rob Schneider here), but it works. Also because he impresses in the sincere and sentimental moments. And there's chemistry with Barrymore, from the very first meeting in a small restaurant in beautifully portrayed Hawaii. Many first encounters will follow, and that is also the great strength of the film. Romance with a dark touch, of course with a feel good ending.

Sometimes you just have a film that completely breaks you, while it is not a high-quality film at all. 50 First Dates is one such movie.

Wonderfully silly humor at times (Doug is a legend) and fantastic chemistry between the lead roles Sandler and Barrymore.
