The story is indeed minimal, but the historical importance is almost maximal, and the cast does full justice to it, not only the actors of the title characters but also the many great (and great) actors in supporting roles (culminating in Oliver Platt's impersonation of Nixon). A talking film and therefore talkative, but at the same time very exciting and fascinating until the end.

Despite the maximum of communication, it is also largely an interview and of course a game to persuade each other to this interview and want to continue, I really enjoyed two hours with this film. How especially just before every interview Nixon Frost was bogged down with nonsense and how he answered the questions. Wow, really a great movie. But..... you have to love it. It is all interaction between people, but also the human interactions can be very exciting as this film shows.

A very large enough from me!

First an 8.5 and after deliberation still a 9.

“I've had an idea for an interview: Richard Nixon.”

“You're a talk show host. I spent yesterday watching you interview the Bee Gees.”

Impressive film in which David Frost and the recently resigned President Nixon battle it out verbally in various interviews. Like a boxing match, as Kevin Bacon points out. After Watergate, Nixon wants to tell his own story and make it a 'good news show', and Frost seems at first glance no match for the man with the impressive voice.

But it's a true story and we all know how it ended up. Especially in the last interview with the emphasis on Watergate, Frost/Nixon soars to great heights, and Sheen and Langella are fantastic in their roles. With impressive supporting roles from Rockwell, Platt, Hall, Bacon and Jones. Frost/Nixon is a true actor's film, and director Ron Howard gives them all the space to excel. Howard makes sure the script is ingenious, and the eye for detail (the clothes, the music, the haircuts, the overall 70's feel) rounds out the film.
