"The Perfect World Meets The Perfect Assassin"
In the distant future, infectious diseases have wiped out most of the world's population. There is only one protected town left, Bregna, which is surrounded by a kind of wall. The city is led by a number of scientists. Aeon Flux is the main warrior of the Monicans, an underground rebel network led by the Handler. When Aeon is on a mission to assassinate Governor Goodchild, she discovers an important secret that leaves her questioning whether she's on the right side.

Bit of a standard SF story about a thinned humanity in a "utopian" setting. Externally, the film looks fine, beautifully designed, especially the tight suits of Theron. Fine in itself, only the story seems less important than how her buttocks come out.
Only the film didn't captivate me at all, especially because of the rather cold acting, primarily by Theron himself.
Pluses, a future without Coca Cola, or brands and advertising at all, hey, we have to wait another 4 centuries.

“To live once... But with hope.”
Not bad. Æon Flux is not a masterpiece and especially in terms of script and direction, the film falls short, but there are also some strong action scenes and Charlize Theron is always a pleasure to watch. Due to her charisma and acting talent, she still manages to make a lot out of a one-dimensional and moderately developed role. And she knows how to take the film as a whole to a higher level.

Production design is nicely done, nice costumes and colorful sets. The acting is mediocre to bad, mediocre one-liners and the story feels a bit fast to me and was not always clear. Luckily the film didn't last too long, because after an hour I had had it.
