Barry is an ordinary car mechanic who works during the day and spends the evenings with his wife Annie and their daughter Meganne. It's a quiet life that is turned upside down when his sister Brooke calls to say that a zombie outbreak is taking place. A veritable zombie apocalypse has begun and Barry will have to take drastic measures to stay alive.

Quite an exaggerated gory zombie film full of special effects and many silly characters but above all no pretensions, just plain rude and stupid. This works quite nicely, although the film is not too short for a minute. The climax is a bit disappointing, everything is just a bit too long.

Nice crazy zombie movie. The story sucks, but that's part of the genre. The elaboration is reasonably low budget, but despite the limited resources quite successful. The film contains the necessary humor in addition to the gore and tension. The blood also flows abundantly with a big wink. Unfortunately, the film is a bit monotonous, but fortunately the playing time is limited. The acting isn't the best, but we'll take that into the bargain. Cheap, but quite reasonable. 2.5/3.0

Still a film that doesn't have too high a financing, but that manages to get a nice end due to the full approach. This belongs to the kind of film that refuses to become boring for a moment, and that intention is made clear during the opening with fast editing and lots of crazy happenings.
Which is nice, because as a director you immediately create an appropriate tempo for films like this one. You have to be immersed in the abstract and unnatural world of Wyrmwood. Roache-Turner knows how to do that here too. He is completely absorbed in the world and that includes many crazy gadgets, eccentric characters and funny finds. Such a concept in which cars run on zombies' gasoline, for example, quickly becomes fun.
A bit of a shame that nice characters are sometimes wasted. Such a Bradey should be a nice penetrating character, but then she is more than half gagged in some basement. Furthermore, the film is characterized by somewhat restrained camera work, which is not entirely can dance along with the pace of the film. Especially in the beginning, this ensures that it takes a while before the film pulls you along.
But on the other hand, there's a good dose of entertainment that refuses to slow itself down for a moment. It does go with the ideas it has quite far, so you shouldn't watch this movie with expectations that all you're going to get will be old-fashioned zombie violence. Not for everyone of course, but I do enjoy it.
