Shazam is back, better & bigger than the first movie

Better than the first, isn't difficult either... It was a flop for me.

But now there's enough action, humor that works & a good story.

Also one of the better DC films of recent times for me.

Nothing special about it, but I'm glad I can be more positive about a DC movie.

Definitely worth seeing in the cinema, but whether this will be a box office success is still in doubt.

A good 3 stars in advance & looking forward to The Flash

Just like part 1, a very entertaining film and the humor just fits very well within the context of this film. Especially since it is actually a bunch of young people who play the hero. The cast has charisma and can carry the film with ease. The threat of the antagonists also comes across well and under the leadership of Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu they put this down convincingly. The film also contains enough action and spectacle and I also think the balance between the rest moments and the action set pieces is fine. Where the film loses me is the urgency. Marvel and DC have created a universe in the last 10 to 15 years where they always leave you wanting more. Now that both are falling apart like a house of cards, you are also watching these film(s) with the idea of, why am I actually watching this? I therefore feel that I miss a real impact. It's all very fun and entertaining. But it never dares to take any real risks and do something surprising, despite the fact that the film does not really go wrong (although Shazam could have stayed dead for the impact and that would have made the film even more weighty)[ /spoiler]. It's safe within the lines. It really struck me with this film how safe the film is in terms of violence and action. All fine and I certainly understand. But if we're honest. Who will remember this in 10 years? This is just another one of so many superhero movies that make for a great movie night without a problem, but it doesn't leave a permanent impression.

Although Billy Batson [Asher Angel] is almost 18 years old, his alter ego Shazam [Zachary Levi] spouts childish 80s language and still acts like a toddler. Apparently there are people who are going to roll over the floor with a roar, but it only annoys me. Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu se[e;em the two daughters of the gods who have come to Earth to recover the staff (which Shazam had broken in Shazam!) and use the magic of that staff for their own purposes. to use. Philadelphia can join the questionable list of cities that are largely destroyed for the benefit of a Marvel franchise. Mirren and Liu are well chosen, but they too eventually drown in the excess of special effects. And what's the point of three finals?
