"Fight Fire With Fire"
In a post-apocalyptic, futuristic England, American militia leader Denton Van Zan (McConaughey) and British fire chief Quinn Abercromby (Bale) must team up to defeat a group of fire-breathing dragons. They are out to dominate humanity after centuries of rest. Van Zan and Abercromby hope to find the Dragon King together.

Exciting, powerful science fiction about a world completely destroyed by dragons and turned into a 'living hell on earth'. The remaining humans hide in a self-built fortress and fear for their lives if they want to go outside because there is always a fire-breathing dragon lurking. Together with a group of soldiers they go into battle. Lots of action, beautiful visual effects and the whole thing was filmed in gray tones, which gave me the feeling that the earth had really changed into a miserable, desolate living environment that can no longer be saved. Exciting right from the start! Excellent cast with excellent acting and good camera work which makes the whole look very realistic. Strong ending that is not long winded. My rating: 3.5 stars.

Guilty pleasure that I always watch when he is for it.
No pompous shit or the like, but a very nice mix of the necessary action, tension and spectacle. Particularly striking is the beautiful dark and grim atmosphere. Bale and McConaughey also look great, both actors fall for me with their filthy and unshaven faces and therefore have to let go of their slick pretty boy image and really act and both do just fine in my opinion. In addition, Scorupco is always fun to watch.
Great entertainment, no more, no less.
