Let me start by saying that I have quite a bit of sympathy for Uwe Boll. His movies aren't great but they are always entertaining and actually I don't think they are that bad at all.

This Rampage is one of the films in which Boll mainly wants to show how disturbing our world is and that message is pushed down the viewer's throat with little subtlety. From the first minute , disturbing news stories are fired at you in a chaotic and busy way. It is a big overkill in the literal and figurative sense of the word.

In my opinion, this makes the film a silly and at times quite funny. Furthermore, the acting is nothing to write home about, the screenplay is not great and the dialogues are cringe-inducing. But thanks to the Uwe Boll charm that the film does have, there is still something nice to watch.

I'm sorry our Yours is discontinuing it.

Mediocre film but a reasonable one for Uwe Boll.

Halfway through it becomes fun and atmosphere, story and shocking camera work fit together perfectly. But the story doesn't really shock, I've seen crazier things before that. And I forget about that nonsense at the beginning and end about overpopulation and that we are destroying the world. Found that unnecessary and really just disturbing, to put some kind of cheap psychology behind it. The movie was easy to watch, but ultimately nothing special. 2.0*.

Raw.

After watching part 2, I found out that I haven't posted a review for part 1 yet. So I decided to post this. Rampage is a pretty difficult movie for me to rate. Boll certainly dares to put down his films hard and brutal.

The first part and the end of the film didn't really appeal to me. It does stand out in terms of filming. It's all shocking and chaotic, but it wasn't very exciting. The middle part of the movie is the best and the most shocking.

This gives the film points again. The hard scenes stand out, but you still empathize in the film in a crazy way. Good acting from Fletcher. It has all been brought very hard. And Boll does that well. Despite that, however, it is not always very interesting.
