Buck : You're an animal!
Manny : No! Worse! Human! Human!

The Shakespearean quote at the end comes back to this.

Strong and exciting. Two escapees from a high security prison in Alaska flee on the only train they were not allowed to take. Is it the arm of a divine force that makes all attempts to stop the train fail? Is it god's arm that makes Manny's nemesis Rankin face him in the end? . Special film about how a person can be both hero and beast. And that Manny (Jon Voight's top role!) is both.

The last ten minutes are pure goosebumps, with that image of Manny standing up as a hero on that train, which gradually disappears into eternity and that last shot of Rankin's face, all fear in the face of death . Then Vivaldi's music... just magnificent this ending! 4 big fat stars.

Nice.

Once on the train, the film does have its moments. This takes a while, with a rather lengthy introduction from Voight, Roberts and the Prison Warden. Roberts and Voight act a bit strange. I'm not quite sure whether criminals used to talk so strangely or whether it was Voight's fake teeth. But it wasn't really great. Especially the part between the control room and the train is fun to follow. The climax is also epic. But it still lacks some pace to really convince.

Although Unstoppable has already been some sort of remake. Could this movie make a nice remake?

3 stars.
