Amusing action film with a healthy dose of humor, which mainly gains its strength through the unique concept. Jack Quaid is almost perfectly chosen for the silly, but charming lead role and together with Amber Midthunder provides enough entertaining moments. The chemistry between the two also works well for a change, which makes the fairly drawn-out introduction come across quite smoothly. Directors Dan Berk and Robert Olsen also pay enough attention to the explosive sides of the story. The events are regularly strikingly graphic and dare to tackle things directly. The pity is that there is no real nice flow between the action scenes and there is one specific moment missing that makes the film rise above itself, but otherwise it is very solid entertainment.

Nicely clumsy and therefore certainly entertaining. Good pace, nice action, some pleasant gore on screen (that broken wrist). The main character did not convince me completely, I did not really believe him. Then the other actors were better. I did not see the twist halfway coming but it worked well because it gives the story a different turn and the film continues to develop. 3.5*.

Nice action movie. The story is nice and crazy and you shouldn't think about it too much. Just take it as it is. The execution is reasonably successful. There is enough humor, sometimes predictable but now and then a small laugh. In addition, the film contains quite a few violent action scenes in which the blood flows abundantly and the bones crack. The action scenes are a lot of the same. Towards the end there is a twist, which adds little. Visually quite okay. The acting is otherwise fine. 3.0/3.5
